Discount Comparison

Compare different discount types — percentage off, fixed discount, BOGO — and find the best deal.

How to compare different discount types

Not all discounts are created equal. "20% off" and "$200 off" might sound similar, but on a $1,000 item, 20% off saves you $200 — the same. On a $500 item though, 20% off only saves $100, making the $200-off deal better. Always convert discounts to the final unit price to compare fairly.

Is "buy one get one 50% off" a good deal?

If you were planning to buy two anyway, BOGO 50% off means each item is effectively 25% cheaper — not bad. But if you only need one, buying an extra item at half price still costs more than buying just one at full price. The question is always: do you actually need the second one?

The "spend X save Y" trap

"Spend $1,000 save $100" sounds like 10% off. But if you add $300 worth of stuff you didn't need just to hit the threshold, you've spent $300 to save $100 — a net loss of $200. This calculator shows you the real unit price after all discounts, so you can cut through the marketing.
